I finally got my hands on a Sativa flower! I’ve been so excited to share this review with you that I almost wrote it first. Sativa is my absolute best friend. With a 9-year-old daughter, two large dogs with wild personalities, an assortment of other pets, and to-do lists, my days are swamped. They seem to never end and just blur into each other.
I often forget when something happened, if it even happened, or if I dreamt it. My days are a blur just running around to everyone in the house, making sure their needs are met.
Pouring into everyone else’s cups took a major toll on me for a long time. I’m naturally empathetic and a giver, but I learned the hard way: my cups need to be full in order for me to fill others. That’s why Sativa is my best friend. Compared to Indica, which provides more of a body high, Sativa provides more of a head high. With a Sativa vape, gummies, and even the flower, I know I can’t toke all day without being slowed down.
While finding Sativa vapes and gummies was easy, finding flower at my regular store wasn’t. In truth, I normally just purchased strains without double-checking, but this time around I got super lucky.
Chocolope Overview
THC: 22% | Effects: creativity, energy, and Feeling more uplifted |
Strain: Sativa | Good for: anxiety, depression, and stress |
When I went to the store, they had several strains to choose from, but most of them all were the same from the last few months. That only left me with a few options, so I choose Wedding Cake first and then decided on Chocolope purely for the “chocolate” name. But once I got home and did a quick search, I was so excited to learn that it was a pure Sativa blend. All the other strains I’ve gotten so far were indica and Indica-dominant hybrids.
After taking a few hits of the Chocolope though, I could tell right away the major difference in my body. Telling the strains apart was easy. The Chocolope nuggets were light green with amber and pale colored pistils. Meanwhile, the Wedding Cake was a darker green with orange hair and frosty trichomes.
The light green Chocolope nuggets were also rougher and seemed more dry in my hands, more along the lines of the Purple Plat and Baby Jokers I got last month. However, the nuggets still broke up well, and this didn’t seem to affect the quality, and all joints and blunts burned evenly. Along with its light green profile, these nuggets were covered in pale but frosty trichomes.
Chocolope Is A Chocolate Thai & Cantaloupe Haze Crossbreed
Chocolate strain macros.
Like the name suggests, these nuggets had a strong chocolate and sweet taste to it. There was also a hint of coffee, making this the absolute perfect strain for mornings. The taste is breakfast-like, as if you’re having a donut with a coffee and since it’s sativa, it won’t put you back to bed.
According to Leafly, Chocolope has about 22% THC and is a Sativa strain created by combing:
- Chocolate Thai (Sativa)
- Cannalope Haze (Sativa create by combining OG Haze and Mexican Landrance)
This strain is known for enhancing creativity, energy, and feeling more uplifted, which I definitely can attest too. This strain was great during work, especially creative projects. I might be overthinking it and not giving myself enough credit, but I came up with some amazing ideas this month. Additionally, this strain can help alleviate stress, depression, and anxiety.
Chocolope Personal Rating
Overall, Chocolope was one of my favorite strains. Of course, I might be biased because its the only Sativa I was able to get my hands on. However, from Flavor and Aroma, to Quality I was impressed. These nuggets were pretty and distinguishable, earning them a 7.5/10. I loved the chocolatly coffee taste and smell, earning Chocolope an 8 for both Aroma and Flavor.
As for Quality, Burn, and High Strength, this Chocolope strain was on point with what I expected, earning a solid 7 in all categories. I will say, a friend who smoked this with me said it was a little harsh, but I didn’t think so. Overall this was a great well-rounded strain that I enjoyed.
Final conclusion: I really enjoyed this strain and would purchase again. In fact, I had to reup before the holidays and they had limited strains available. So I ended up buying the Chocolope a second time around. If you’re a Sativa lover like me, then definitely give this strain a shot!

Obviously, I cannot recommend real weed. The laws around MJ are still iffy, but I can recommend hemp products like THCA and Delta 9. Over the years, I’ve tried many derivatives. I’ll share more of experiences as I share more of my journeys, but for now, some of my favorites are THCA, THCO, and THCP. In fact, most of my vapes are THCA or THCO.
Finding powerful derivatives and reputable companies to purchase from hasn’t been easy, but lucky for you, I’ve done the hard part of researching so you don’t have to. Currently, I’ve partnered with The Hemp Doctor to bring you some of the most potent hemp products at a 10% discount, so you can enjoy some benefits I’ve reviewed in this article today by using my link.
