This month I switched everything up. No High Leaf or Flying Horse vapes. No Flying Horse gummies either. But I’ve still got a major stash pile that only seems to be growing.
I was so excited to get my Modus package this month. Switching and trying new products was actually working out well for me. I’ve been finding more and more products that I enjoy and now have essentially a medicinal cabinet full of THC and CBD products.
What’s even better is the journey has taught me a lot about my body, tolerance, and preferences. As I try new products, I realize they affect me differently. Now it’s only a matter of keeping track of what products work for which symptoms.
And that’s the whole point of this site. I’m lucky to have the resources and knowledge to step out of my comfort zone and every day I’m falling more in love with this process. Even if I’m slightly disappointed by the products, which was the case with the Modus vape.
When I ordered from Modus, I selected three vapes that equated 8g total. I started with the Green Crack because it was 3g and I’ve had a different version of this cart before, so I wanted to compare.

This Knockout Blend 3.0 is made with D10, D8 Live Resin, and THCP. The THCP alone made me confident in the purchase. Smoking wise THCA, THCO, and THCP all give me a nice high. The High Leaf‘s are general THCA, while the Flying Horses usually have more compounds and include THCP. As for the D10 and D8 live resin, I only had those hemp derivatives in edibles, so I knew how I had to be really open-minded about this vape. While I was sure I’d feel something, I wasn’t sure how much I would feel.
Right off the bat, I can tell you that I absolutely loved the design of this vape. It was small and sleek. The Vape Pen had a beautiful matte finish and feel to it. The pull was also pretty amazing. This disposable wasn’t a long pen, but a compact vape. It reminded me of a smaller version of the Flying Horse and High Leaf vapes. The pull was smooth and powerful and barely got clogged.
Despite it only being 3g, the vape lasted me the whole month too. But that might be attributed to me not smoking it as much. Plus, by the third week, I opened up one of the other vapes to try.
Green Crack Is a Sativa Dominant Strain

Hopefully, by now you know that I’m almost always going to get a Sativa vape. Since I can hit the vape all day every day, I’d rather have a strain that will keep me boosted and uplifted on the fly. Edibles and flower that I generally take later in the day can be hybrids or indica, but I’ll still lean heavily toward an indica. So needless to say, all the Modus vapes I purchased this month are sativas, just different flavors and chemical compounds.
Now onto the part I’ve been avoiding. I really wanted to like this vape. I’m really enjoying the Modus brand. But I ran into the same issue that I had with the Blue Edition Flying Horse vape: the flavoring sucked! I’ve had at least two Green Crack cartridges in the past and I loved them. This vape tasted like pure… grass.
It wasn’t bad, honestly. But it just tasted like I was smoking really earthy weed. Unfortunately, though, I like my vapes to have that flavor, so this vape loses a few points in that area. I also didn’t find the strength to be that High either. While I didn’t need to huff on it constantly, I did have to take more pulls in general. This was later confirmed when I tried a different Modus vape that gave me a stronger high with fewer pulls.
I’m not sure though if this has to do with the chemical makeup or with the strain itself. Because according to Leafly, Green Crack has about 17% THC. It’s purely Sativa though and created by crossing breeding

This strain is known for feeling energized, talkative, and focused, which I can attest to. This was a good vape for during the day. I didn’t feel foggy or slowed down and this Modus vape pushed me through some early morning reached Green Crack strain is also known for improving helps with stress, anxiety, and depression.

As I said, I really wanted to enjoy this vape. It was the first one I chose out of all of them, but I’m being honest, I was pretty disappointed. So the Pull Force and Clog ratings were on point. This Knockout Blend 3.0 was smooth and powerful. The Clogs were also very limited and more so happened after being in my pocket or a bag. As a result, these categories both earned a 2 out of 10, which is on par with the other brands I enjoy. However, Flavor and High Duration, this vape loses a lot of points.
The flavoring drops to a 5 out of 10 and that still might be generous. In general, I don’t mind that taste of backyard weed per se, but it’s still disappointing in vape form. However, while I’m willing to sacrifice taste for quality, this vape is lacking in that department as well. It gave me a decent high, but not what I was used to, so the durstion also earned a 5 out of 10.
I would’ve probably had to smoke double, which means I would’ve had an adult Bobo at all times. Overall, that brings this vape’s final score to a 4.5 out if 10. Great design, but not quite the best vape for an avid user. With that being said though, this vape blend might be great for beginners or canna users with a low tolerance.
Final Conclusion
The Modus Brand itself is amazing. I will definitely keep buying from them and recommend multiple of their products. However, when it comes to this Knockout Blend 3.0 I’m very iffy. However, I live by a golden rule of you must try everything at least two times. So in that spirit, I will definitely try another version of this vape to see if the flavoring is better, but I have a feeling that this vape won’t be included in my regular rotation.
