This month I’m the most excited I’ve ever been to share my haul with you because I got my hands on not one but two sativa strains. In general, I find sativa strains at the store and disposal hard to get my hands on. Vape, waxes, and edibles are pretty easy to find and if I really wanted, I could purchase THCA flower. However, finding real sativa weed strains seemed Next to impossible.
At the end of the summer, I will have had the blog for about a year and it’s certainly blossomed into an amazing adventure I never anticipated. However, in all that time though, I’ve only come across one other sativa strain available: Chocolope. I enjoyed the Chocolope, so much so that I bought more when I returned to the store. Other than that, the rest of the strains I’ve reviewed from the City were Indica or Hybrids.
So when I got the mess alert that the store have several strains I was instantly on high alert and wanted to speed my way to the city because I recognize two names instantly. Let’s start with the one I tried first: Green Crack.
The moment I saw Green Crack on the list I knew I was getting it. I’ve tried endless Green Crack vapes over the years and it’s generally one of my favorite strains. In fact, I recently tried the Green Crack Modus Knockout Blend vape and you can check out the review here.
Green Crack Flower Overview
THC: 17% | Effects: Energize, focused, and more creativity |
Strain: Sativa | Good for: depression, anxiety, stress |
Terpenes: Myrcene, Caryophyllene, and Pinene |
Maybe I’m biased. I know my excitement immediately skyrocket the moment I see anything sativa related, but I enjoyed this strain a lot. While the Green Crack nugs didn’t break into a fine dust like the Mochi or Cherry Gelato, it certainly wasn’t as bad as some strains I’ve had in the past.

Also, before this review, I had two different strains, and honestly, I hated them. No point in even doing a review, but I mention this for two reasons. One, at that point the other strains were so harsh and gave me so much problems that anything would’ve been better than those strains. Two, I sadly ended up mixing most of the batches to even out the harshness. So theoretically I created my own hybrid, but I definitely Had these strains on their own and I’m hoping there will be more on the next run.
Anywho, back to the strain, I had no problems with it. There was no canoeing or shutting off every so often. The flavoring was kind of mild compared to what I expected. I also felt like this strain could’ve been more hybrid-y as it didn’t really give me a boost and if I was tired, I could still nap.
Green Crack Is a Sativa Dominant Strain
Overall though, this was a great strain to have on hand. According to Leafly, Green Crack has about 17% THC. It’s purely Sativa though and created by crossing breeding
- Skunk #1
- Unknown strain (although some people say it’s an inbreed)
In addition to the traditional research profiles I’ve been reviewing all along, I’ve decided it was time to start including some terpenes, as well. After several discussions with others in the cannabis industry, I’ve realized terpenes are more important than I thought. The Green Crack strain has Myrcene, Caryophyllene, and Pinene.
The Caryophyllene has a spicy or peppery flavor and can also have anti-inflammatory properties. Pinene terpene has a pine scent and is known for its antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.
All these properties together make this strain ideal for improving depression, anxiety, and stress, It also produces feelings of energy, focus, and creativity. This was a great strain vape during the day. I didn’t feel foggy or slowed down and this strain helped push me through some tough mornings.
Green Crack Sativa Flower Personal Rating

Now it’s time for the rating system. For the Appearance, Burn and High Strength I found these to be on the higher end and earned an 8 out of 10. These nuggets with a light, almost lime green with orange hairs and white crystals. It was pretty and most certainly stuck out compared to the other strains I had on me at the time. The burn was smooth, but I did notice a resin build up that was a little annoying. However, I more attributed that to the quality because otherwise flower had an even, slow burn.
The Aroma, Quality, and Flavor all scored a 7 out of 10. The Flavor had a hint of citrus and some tropical undertones, which I really enjoyed. The Aroma has a similar sweet, but gentle sour scent to it. As for the quality, the strain did have more stems that I expected, which isn’t the biggest deal. I thought the breakup was a little sticky, hence the resin build. I also found a few seeds which honestly made me happy because I did enjoy the strain and now I will maybe plant some of my own.
Final Conclusion
Overall, I enjoyed it. Since I found it to be more of a hybrid for me, I may not purchase the strain as much as I expected. However, I would still purchase and recommend Green Crack. And remember to keep in minds, since terpenes effect everyone differently, this Sativa strain might work perfectly for you.
