This month was weird and I attribute it all to getting out of my comfort zone. So after months and months of going back to my favorite weed shop in the City, I finally got my hands on a Sativa strain. Every strain, until this month, was either a hybrid or an indica so I was definitely happy to have flower more suitable for my needs.

When I got to the store, they had a decent selection. I didn’t even realize it at the time that I picked a Sativa. It wasn’t until I got home and did some quick research that I learned the Chocolope was the strain I’d been searching for. It took everything I had not to try it first, but I had a long day and needed much more of a break.
Not only did I find a Sativa strain, but the vapes I had this month were also different. The purchase I made from Modus over two months ago was still enough to last me into this month so I didn’t make my usual run to the Smoke Shop in the Country. Overall though, I was happy and satisfied with this month’s experience.
Two Flower Strains for December 2024 Were Wedding Cake and Chocolope

As I mentioned, one of the strains I got this month was the Sativa Chocolope. The other strain I purchased was Wedding Cake. Compared to November’s haul, these strains were vastly different and easy to recognize. Chocolope was very much like its name. The nuggets had a deep, chocolate scent and taste to them. There was also a hint of coffee, making this one of the best Wake and Bake strains I’ve had. This strain is a Chocolate Thai and Cantaloupe Haze crossbreed and it was impressive. I bought it a second time when I saw it in the store again. That’s how much I enjoyed it.
Chocolope:
THC: 22% | Effects: creativity, energy, and Feeling more uplifted |
Strain: Sativa | Good for: anxiety, depression, and stress |
Wedding Cake:
THC: 24% | Effects: relaxation, hunger and sleepiness |
Strain: Indica-Dominant Hybrid | Good for: anxiety, depression, and stress |
The Wedding Cake was delicious too. It was a sweet and sugary strain, making it almost like having dessert, making it a perfect strain for before bedtime. Both strains were pretty, but easy to tell apart. Chocolope was darker and Wedding Cake had more light and pale greens. The Chocolope was rougher in my hands and broke up differently than the Wedding Cake. However, the texture didn’t affect the quality or burn rate. Both of these strains were great compliments to my routine.

Chocolope and Wedding Cake Overview

Overall, these strains were pretty on par and great quality for this Tier. However, the Chocolope strain did beat the Wedding Cake by a half a point. Starting with Aroma and Flavor, I absolutely loved the Chocolope strain. It was great any time of day, but between the flavoring and the Sativa factor, this was a perfect for early mornings. The chocolatey, coffee flavor smelled and tasted delicious and was the perfect companion to my morning coffee.

As a result, the Chocolope earned a solid 8 out of 10 for both categories. The Wedding Cake, while still good, didn’t quite compare to the Chocolope strain and earned a 7 out of 10 for Aroma and Flavor. The Burn, Quality, and High Strength were the same for both strains. The Chocolope did feel rougher, and I was worried it might burn weird like the few strains I had before this one, but it was great. I had no issues with either strain regardless of how I decided to burn the nuggets. As a result, both strains were tied at 7 out of 10 for those categories.
That leaves the appearance, which sometimes is tough to rate. All weed nuggets look pretty, but I’ll admit, some strains catch my eyes more than others. Maybe it was because I enjoyed the smell of Chocolope or maybe I just liked the darker, deeper greens. Either way, the Chocolope earned a 7.5 out of 10, while Wedding Cake earned a 7 out of 10 for appearance. Overall, this brings the final rating of the Chocolope strain to 7.5 out of 10 and the Wedding Cake strain a solid 7.
The Vape Flavor Was Modus: Tapout Blend 2.0 & 3.0

When it comes to the vapes this month, I decided not to get one of my usual High Leafs. The month prior, I bought a massive Modus brand order with various edibles and vapes. I still had some vapes left, so I decided to compare and contrast the two Tapout versions I had.
Honestly, I was suspicious of The Tapout blends. In November, I tried the Knockout Blend and while it lasted the month, I didn’t think it was a strong high. It also wasn’t flavorful. The Tapout blends though were better. The 2.0 is a 2g cartridge, so I needed a battery to connect it to. This was neither a drawback, or a perk, as I have tons of batteries lying around.
The design of the 2.0 was an issue though. It was all glass, and it took only one drop to the floor for it to shatter. There was still some oil left, so I taped it up and made it work, but I was definitely disappointed.
The 3.0 on the other hand was a 3g disposable vape. While the 3.0 wasn’t made of glass, I did experience some common problems like leakage with this version of the vape. However, aside from design issues, both vapes were great.
The 3.0 was very flavorful. The fruity notes were noticeable upon inhale and exhales. The 2.0 was flavorful too but not as much as the 3.0. Strength wise this vape was great. It was definitely better than the Modus brand I tried before these ones.

Obviously, I cannot recommend real weed. The laws around MJ are still iffy, but I can recommend hemp products like THCA and Delta 9. Over the years, I’ve tried many derivatives. I’ll share more of experiences as I share more of my journeys, but for now, some of my favorites are THCA, THCO, and THCP. In fact, most of my vapes are THCA or THCO.
Finding powerful derivatives and reputable companies to purchase from hasn’t been easy, but lucky for you, I’ve done the hard part of researching so you don’t have to. Currently, I’ve partnered with The Hemp Doctor to bring you some of the most potent hemp products at a 10% discount, so you can enjoy some benefits I’ve reviewed in this article today by using my link.
