As both an Earth sign Taurus and a mom, I’m fueled by routines and schedules. My entire life is a series of small habits strung along together. My monthly run to the store happened the last weekend of every month. The timeline worked perfectly for me since I don’t travel to the City the first weekend of the month. Knowing the run always happens that weekend also helps me keep track of how long the purchases last.
Since I had to make the run a week earlier than usual, I knew the White or Rainbow Runtz batches didn’t stretch as long as the other runs did. But I guess it worked out in my favor. The store was offering an ounce for the price of half an ounce. I was in heaven. I love me a good deal and the Tier 2 pricing was already unbeatable. Buying double and stocking up was a serious option, but I only travel with my budget, so I had to play it safe.
As the man packaged my order, I stole a glance around. Last time they had this super cute miniature pitbull/boxer named Harley. She wasn’t there that trip and I would come to learn that she gave birth the day before. For the first time in the new location, there were people hanging out in the seating. The old store was always packed with people. Especially once they added TVs and comfy couches and turned it into a smoke shop. Once that black bag was in my hands, I shot down the stairs and made my way home.
(Push) Pops Overview
THC: 25% | Effects: euphoric feelings, a tingly sensation, and sleepy |
Strain: Hybrid | Good for: chronic depression, pain, anxiety, cramps, and PTSD |
The first strain I played with was Cali, which had a nice taste but didn’t break up the best. The second strain I got was Pops. Pops looked eerily close to Cali. If it weren’t for the scent and the taste, I would have had a harder time telling the difference between the two. The dense, bushy nugs came a medium size, and the green was a little lighter compared to Cali. Or maybe better yet, brighter would be a better term, as it has a neon hue to it. Pops had similar orange and brown hairs. The nugs were covered in chunks of milky gold and palish white crystal trichomes, similar to the White Runtz.
The nugs didn’t have as many stems as the previous strains, which were good. It did break up better than Cali or the Runtz from the July 2024 Haul. However, it didn’t taste or smell as good as the Cali. Some benefits and effects it provides are euphoric feelings, a tingly sensation, and sleepy, of course. This strain is also good for treating, chronic depression, pain, anxiety, cramps, and PTSD.
Pops Is a Cookies and Cream & Temple Flo Hybrid
According to Leafly, Push Pops has 25% THC, which is pretty high. It’s also a hybrid, created by combining:
- Cookies and Cream (a sweet-tasting hybrid)
- Temple flo (also a hybrid)
Overall, the flavor was underwhelming though. Having two strains with drastically different tastes can also make it difficult to truly taste the uniqueness. Since the Cali had a distinct, powerful flavor, the (Push) Pop Strain seemed dull in comparison. It did have a taste, though. Upon the inhale, there was a gentle, sugary, milky taste of the smoke. Almost like vanilla and frost flakes cereal milk. Gentle, not overpowering, but milky and sweet.
Pops Flower Strain Personal Rating
I would give this strain a 6.5 out of 10 nuggets, a little less than the other strain I got this month. The Appearance was similar to the Cali Kush and even the White Runtz from last month. While the Push Pops nuggets looked pretty, nothing made them stand out much. The aroma was gentle and not as noticeable, but it didn’t smell like skunk weed for sure. I didn’t like how the nuggets broke up, so that resulted in a lower Quality and Burn rating. The high strength was good though, especially for being “cheaper” weed, earning this strain a 7 in that ranking. The flavor was good, but not as powerful as the Cali Kush, so thus strain earned a 7 in that department as well.

Obviously, I cannot recommend real weed. The laws around MJ are still iffy, but I can recommend hemp products like THCA and Delta 9. Over the years, I’ve tried many derivatives. I’ll share more of experiences as I share more of my journeys, but for now, some of my favorites are THCA, THCO, and THCP. In fact, most of my vapes are THCA or THCO.
Finding powerful derivatives and reputable companies to purchase from hasn’t been easy, but lucky for you, I’ve done the hard part of researching so you don’t have to. Currently, I’ve partnered with The Hemp Doctor to bring you some of the most potent hemp products at a 10% discount, so you can enjoy some of the benefits I’ve reviewed in this article today by using my link.
While The Hemp Doctor didn’t have the Push Pops strain specifically, they have a variety of other hemp products including gummies, vapes, drinks, edibles, and more. Be sure to consume safely and positive vibes all around!
