This month flew by. What’s even worse, is that my weed also flew by, too. About two and a half weeks after my purchase, I went through my bags and starting counting how many joints I had left. Turned out I had barely enough to make it to the end of the week for me to make my run.
I could’ve sworn I smoked less this month. It’s been hectic, and I skipped a lot of afternoon smoke sessions. I might be delusional though and smoked more than I realized. However, I think it more had to do with the quality of the weed.
Both the Molotov Cocktail and Purple Plat were dry and rough. I wasn’t a fan of how they felt. The Purple Plat turned off often (which could attribute to some loss) and I don’t know. I was actually happy to go look at new strains. I was over the ones we had.
In fact, I was so excited that I went straight to the store after being in the car for about five hours. Normally I would wait until the next day and go on the weekend, but I was hellbent on staying out of the car as much as possible.
When I got to the store, I was a little disappointed by the selection they had. Maybe since it wasn’t a full month, they hadn’t really restocked? All I know is that they had a lot of the same strains I’ve reviewed the last few months. So while they had quite a few options, I went straight for the few that were new.

Starting with Wedding Cake. Right away I knew I was happier with this month’s purchase compared to last month. The first thing I did when I got home was take out the last cone I had and started stuffing it full of the Wedding Cake strain. The Wedding Cake was stickier and broke up a lot better. It wasn’t rough like last month’s haul and it was super easy to stuff into the cone.
No matter what I rolled this strain in, there were no issues with burning or canoeing. It had a nice even burn and the tangy flavoring was powerful too.
The nuggets were pretty, too. They were about a medium green, darker than the accompanying strain I got, but nowhere near as dark as some of the other strains. The Wedding Cake nuggets were also covered in thick orange hairs and frosty yellowish trichomes.
Wedding Cake Is a Triangle Kush and Animal Mints Hybrid
I also really enjoyed the flavoring, especially in the preroll I made. The Wedding Cake strain had a sugary, sweet taste with a hint of fruitiness. Some people report a taste of cookies, but all I could taste was sweetness. It was delicious.
According to Leafly, the Wedding Cake strain had about 24% THC. It’s also referred to as “Triangle Mints 23” and is an indica-dominant hybrid, created by crossbreeding

Overall, while this is more indica-dominant, I found it to be a good balance. It was great for movie night, but didn’t knock me out. I could still smoke in the afternoon and still be able to do simple tasks and get through my day. It was a relaxing strains, which the Wedding Cake is known for, along with producing more feelings of relaxation, hunger and sleepiness. Wedding Cake Personal Rating
Overall, rating the Wedding Cake strain was easy enough, as these nuggets scored a steady 7 across all categories. Wedding Cake turned out to be a well rounded strain that I enjoyed a lot. From Aroma and Flavor to Burn and Quality, I was thoroughly impressed.
Final conclusion: Great tasting strain that accompanied me well in most moods. I would definitely recommend and purchase again.
